I have decided to DNF this. I just could not connect with the characters and found half of them annoying. I read up to 62% but I just wasnt enjoying it.  It really wasn't keeping me interested and I could just put it down in the middle of a chapter. It felt too fast pace and almost too descriptive for me to picture what they were doing in the RV and it was just a mess in my head. As I said, I really don't want to continue because I was just not enjoying it.

Five Survive? More like I Survived this Disappointing Book! I can think of a million ways this story could have been written better; it's a real shame, honestly. The premise of the story is excellent—like, REALLY GOOD. Picture this: six teenagers held hostage in an RV by a sniper in the middle of nowhere, with one mole among them and a massive secret that could save them. It's a fantastic concept, and I DIG IT. I really DID. That's why I had such high expectations for this book (plus, I loved the AGGTM series). But, holy shit, did this book disappoint me. It felt like 70% of this book is filler, and the remaining 30% is where the story actually happens. It's as if you could know the entire story by reading only the first chapter and the last. And the characters? ALL OF THEM ARE BLAND, passive, and straight up stupid. It got me thinking, even if Oliver is insufferable, he's the only one who moves the story forward. The rest of them just stand there, tolerating Oliver's stupid behavior. AND RED? Oh, Red. Red, why are you so miserable??????????? I get it; it's hard for you to process your mom's death. But can you be more interesting???? CAN YOU PLEASE HAVE A PERSONALITY??? Simon is just there, standing and throwing funny jokes once in a while. And oh, don't forget, he also wants to be an actor so bad, and his parents don't approve of it. But guess what? It has nothing to do with the storyline! Reyna is only there because her background as a premed student is going to be needed later, and don't even get me started on Arthur. How dare he ask Red for forgiveness? HOW DARE he be the love interest when this story doesn't need a love story? Overall, this book is wasted potential. Holly Jackson, I need you to rewrite this book.
