This was so good! I literally had to hold my breath at some points ! I think everyone needs to read this book, it was an easy read, I didn’t want to stop turning the pages. I also found a lot of the topics I wasn’t expecting, this isn’t a very predictable book in my opinion which made me love it even more!

Wow, that was an intense read, It honestly felt like real life while reading that and now that its finished I don’t know if it was all just a dream or if it real, that to me shows the mark of a great Author and I know for a fact that Holly Jackson is one of those! This Book did take me a chapter or 2 to get into the story and the characters as it felt at the start like I was not going to get there but I’m glad I did as what awaited me was a gripping and intense read!
Red and her friends are taking an old RV on a road trip for Spring Break, driving from Philadelphia to the southern coast. But when they get lost on the way to a campsite in South Carolina and break down well after dark, things take a turn for the worse. With no Mobile service and no one to help, they begin to realize that their tire didn’t just pop – it was shot. As things escalate, they realise that the sniper is after a secret and won’t release them until the truth is revealed.
Sent over 8 hours this is one intense and well paces suspense book that will keep you turning pages until there are no more to turn. Every character was well written and had lots of unique personalities in there and it was a great insight into how each of them handled the stress. The Book itself is told from Red’s POV and her back story and pieces of her past are scattered throughout the books which help to make her one of the standout characters in the books.
I really loved how the author chose to leave the ending a bit open-ended as well as the article/report that were included at the end, But My Head wants to Google what happened next only to find it was Fiction…
I don’t recommend starting this book right before bedtime (like I did), but I absolutely DO recommend reading it!

I hate Oliver with a passion.

This was a fcking rollercoster. My mood switched from grief to anxiety to anger every 5 seconds. And the ending was just crazy man. What a great book.
What I found most impressive is how layered Holly Jackson writes her characters. She did an outstanding job at making Oliver extremely unlikable. And the other ones were all morally grey too, but I found ways to sympathize with them nonetheless.

BRO THIS BOOK WAS BEAUTIFUL. like i couldn’t sleep without knowing what was going to happened next, the plot twists were so so powerful and the way that the book is structured makes me feel like i was there. 100% would recommend to anyone. i felt paranoid whilst reading it, i kept looking around me and the end had my heart feeling every emotion possible.

“Blood, red as her name and red as her shame. So, she didn't think it, or remember”
it’s so heartbreaking and sad that her name has a second meaning that was not intentional and also a sad meaning

“what if i said you were the right people, at the right place, at exactly the right time”
i’ve never felt chills like that before
