This was like Clue meets Knives Out! It's soo good! Plus, Pip's theory of who killed Reginald makes more sense than that stupid game's answer! Pip can be so intense here and a little annoying, but I don't know she's cool still. And what's up with Ant and Cara, jeez! Also, Jamie can get it! I love him!

Look I honestly don’t think this book is necessary at all for the series. BUT it was FUN and after finishing the series a few months ago, I missed this world and the characters, and I’m sad that it’s truly done now. Also fun to see the characters before the series truly starts 🫢

This was a fun little novella! I’m so happy I read it last after the disaster of book 3. This is the Pip I know and love and the character she was always meant to be. This concept was very unique and fun and makes anyone to also do one!

Super fun to get into and a great way to get back into a world I was deeply missing. I really loved being able to read this back into the series and truly understanding the timeline of events. Really gave me more clarity, which is cool especially after already finishing the series. There were a couple of scary moments that I wasn't expecting but I definitely appreciated for this little, Clue-esque murder mystery party.

3⭐️ Great intro to the GGGTM trilogy. Was it necessary? Nope. Was it good? Yes, but it could’ve been better. Although it’s not obligatory to read it (because this is just Pip playing a mystery game with her friends), in this short novella of less than a hundred pages you can take a peek of how the main character likes to solve mysteries and how/why she decided to solve the case of Andie Bell for her school project (which is the main plot of the first book). It was a really fast read so I recommend it to anyone who wants to start these books.

Cute little addition to the series live the foreshadowing in it and to finally know exactly why she chose that topic all just because she doesn’t like to be wrong

** spoiler alert ** Perfect prequel! Very fast-paced! It introduces me to know more about the friend group (including Zach and Jamie). When I read book 2, I kinda felt estranged from Jamie (like, who is he?), but now it’s more understandable why Pip seems so close to him. * Still hate Ant and Lauren btw. I will never forgive and never forget. Love, love, love this series!❣️

I was able to read this for free thanks to Net Galley, although that does not affect my opinion of the actual book. I absolutely love Holly Jackson and the series about Pippa, so as soon as I discovered this prequel novella, I was stoked. Because this was just a novella, it was pretty short and truthfully, I don’t think it was really necessary as it maybe mentioned one helpful thing about what would come in the next three books. It was fun to read about Pippa again though, and to take part in the little murder mystery party. There just wasn’t anything memorable about it.

omgggg this book was such a good short read, i read it in one sitting! the parallels between some events in this book and the agggtm series were just 😱😱 (at the end when elliot ward thought he saw a figure in the dark but it was ravi and he must’ve thought it was sal for a moment). this book was a great add on to the series, with pips character having the same quirks! i loved this book SO much

i read this book before reading the series, & although it wasn’t 100% my favourite, i really really enjoyed the ending and how it will eventually carry onto her investigating the andie bell & sal singh case (i think??)!!

Personally, I was excited to read this book especially when I’m not into all the murder type of stuff. However, it turned out ok in the end, it gave me a mixture of feelings throughout it. I was expecting the murder to be real but in the end, it wasn’t sadly

I’m sorry!!! But it was just so boring, hard to actually get into, and as soon as it got interesting, it turned out to not even be real :/

There'd never been a trial, but that was the story, what everyone believed. It was neat, done, put to bed. It's the boyfriend, it's always the boyfriend, people would say. So neat and so ... so easy. Pip narrowed her eyes. Too easy, maybe.

She turned as far as her neck would allow, watching Ravi as he walked away. He quickened his pace and the car drove on, splitting them apart.

Then he was gone, lost to the night.

But something else stayed behind.

Actually, Pip said, 'I think I know what I'm going to do my project on.'

Why would she leave evidence just lying around? […] Pip would never be so stupid

Page 83

Well she did get away with a murder so no she’d definitely not be
