I didn't really like how it all played out in the end so I was a little bit disappointed by it.
Also I hate when questions are left unanswered so the ending was even more unsatisfying plus the fact that some parts didn't really make sense if you look at character continuity.

It was really fun and there was interesting plot twists

This was a longer audio book but it was very quick paced and had me hooked from the start!! Holly Jackson has such a way at writing somewhat annoying female main characters lol but I love that they are never perfect and always have their own flaws!

family above all — the originals.

seperti biasa, the twist is something. i dunno apakah karena i finished this book too quickly atau emang begitu, tapi pas di akhir tuh berasa ngos-ngosan karena berasa kayak si rachel info dumping tentang seluruh cerita about her disappearance. i feel like too much info to absorb/process, but also can’t think about the best way to let bel knows about what happened.

Oh God. This book was reaaaaaaaalllly good. Yeah the plot was way darker than AGGGTM.
I love Ash and Bel. But I’ll be honest, the relationships weren’t as strong as they were in AGGGTM.
So while I absolutely loved the book, ESPECIALLY THE END. I wouldn’t put this book ahead of AGGGTM.

WHAT THE FLIP. i really didn't see any of this coming this was sooooo good i was shook okay SHOOK
i honestly didnt really like bel in the beginning just bc of her mindset but i see where the trust issues came from now and i understand her ALSO ash and her did NOT deserve that ending that was so mean

In the beginning I had to force myself to read it but in the end I couldn’t put it down!

holly jackson, you never miss.
this was considerably a fast-read for me. the romance felt a bit forced for me but the mystery aspect really gave me the thrill of my life.

trust issues: a novel

Good book

4.75⭐️ Oh this book was good, I literally read in one seating. The plot twists had me shook. Holly really does write the best young adult murder mystery books

holly jackson!!!

I loved the writting of this book, i loved the plot, i loved the idea, and I liked some of the characters. But what really just diminished this rating was the length of the book. 500 pages is far too long for a thriller; most thrillers are in the range of 300-400 and I think once a reader hits a certain number pages, they don't even care anymore, and just want to skip to the end and see what happens. This book is fast paced in terms of reading ability, as all Holly Jackson books are But the plot is so so so slow, there's a rare bits of development over a span of 150 pages, and it took to get to chapter 37 to finally see some actual action. Furthermore, I just found bell infsufferable because of how horrible she was to her mother. And I don't find her sarcasm rudness as funny or witty, she just seems like a rude person. Finally, as we neared the end, it just became more and more absurd. I like to have thriller books that have some kind of realistic touch to them, but it just became increasingly ridiculous.

i don’t know if it’s a common occurrence but i didn’t like bel at all until the very end which kinda changed my mind about her, what made me realize that she’s a teenager and of course she’s going to think as a teenager and i at 27 years old need to be more empathetic towards that teenager feeling to rebel against everything that we all had at some point.
plot wise i really enjoyed it, i don’t read mysteries that often but when i do i always pick my unsub on the very first chapter and this time i didn’t miss, although i did doubt it at some point but it all came back to that person so it was just perfect.
don’t get me wrong, knowing who was it doesn’t get the excitement out of the book for me, i enjoy it more, because i finally had the whole story and boy it was a good one, realistic and probably, if you think about it, more common than what we want to believe.

"Sometimes, they even came back from the dead." feeling like i stumbled on a family's dark secret but hope my mom knows this is also what I'd do

Was still addicted to this during my exam week, so that says something.

the twist and turns in this book! so goooood! had me guessing up until the end!

Rating: 4.25/5 ⭐️ The plot is intriguing. I have some plot twists that surprised me. What I didn't enjoy: - Bel is just too unlikable for my taste. - The detective part felt slow, falling short of my expectations. - The romantic interest between Bel and Ash lacked chemistry. - The ending felt too simple.

Holly Jackson the woman you are

"To the most fucked-up family in America. Cheers!"

And the moon had seen it all.

"That wasn't unpleasant for me."

"What's it called?" Rachel cut in, hovering in the doorway, eyes screwed against the sun. "The documentary?"
Ramsey swallowed, staring up at her. "The Disappearance of Rachel Price. Except, I guess we'll have to change the name now."
