The Deja Glitch was a super quick and fun read to get through. the time-loop story setting was really interesting, and it was something I hadn’t really read about in a novel before! the book felt like a typical romcom movie in word form: cheesy, light, and slightly unrealistic. one of the things that I would have to criticize is the characters. in the book, they’re described to be around 30 years old, but I felt like the characters felt so juvenile (dialogue and inner monologue) to be coming from 30-year-olds, specifically Gemma. Her emotions resembled a teenagers mood swings as she navigated through the time loop, and it seemed like all she did was act based on her emotions.
- I will say, some of the romance in the book did come off as slightly insta-lovey for me, which is something that I am not a huge fan of. Though I did feel like the characters had chemistry, some of the proclamations of love felt too intense for feelings to be developed within the first time meeting one another, or the first day of meeting the other.
- I also felt like some of the conflicts that Gemma had with other characters, such as with her father and her brother, were brought up and resolved too quickly and easily. Both of these relationships seemed to be patched within the day that the book takes place in, and I found it to be quite unrealistic. One moment, it seemed like she would never see eye-to-eye with them, and the next she was making up on the phone after a single conversation.
- all in all, an enjoyable read to pass time that I was able to consume at a startling pace. Nothing ground breaking but a fun time nonetheless!

uhh can I plz be in a time glitch to re-read this immediately? 
This book follows our two main characters, Gemma and Jack, as Gemma finds out she is living a time-loop and has 24-hours to prevent the fat looping again. All she has to do is fall in love with Jack, how has nearly a 150 day head start!

Beyond Gemma and Jack’s relationship, I really enjoyed the music components (can I please see Nigel Black in concert?!), family dynamics, and self-belief. I thought that the author did a really great job of making this feel believable—I was rooting for Gemma and Jack the entire time!

Normally when someone runs into you and spills coffee all over your favorite shirt, they apologize. They don't say that you are the key to breaking them out of a time loop! But in Déjà Glitch, that is exactly what happens! 
When I first read the description about a guy stuck in a time loop for 24-hours and has to convince the main girl to fall for him, I was apprehensive. The trope of being stuck in a loop is one that has been done many times before with not much success, but I was pleasantly surprised with Déjà Glitch! They even make fun of the clichéd nature in the book that feels like the author is giving the readers a side-wink. The plot is not monotonous. As the reader, we weren't on the journey of Jack who is stuck in the loop, but we see the perspective of Gemma, who is unaware that she is the center of Jack's time malady. We follow one day from start to end as they try and end the loop, which I found refreshing and wholly entertaining. 
Not only does the plot have a unique take on an age-old trope, the characters are endearing! You find yourself rooting for Jack, even though he comes off as insane at some points. Who would think that a guy who knows every detail about you is just your soulmate and not your stalker? Not most! Gemma also brought an interesting complexity to the story. She wasn't just there to solve Jack's problem, but she has her own ghosts that she must confront. 
The romance element was also very adorable! Even though the story takes place over the course of the day, it didn't feel like one of those unbelievable Insta-love stories. It felt like a love that would last the age of time. The characters had good chemistry, even if they talked just a tad too much about feeling a magical "zing" every time they touched. 
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to all who love a good time loop and feel-good romance. It felt like the perfect read at the start of the new year! As you all know, what better way to start fresh than to relive the same day over and over?

For a book about being stuck in a time loop, there was a severe lack of time loops. I wanted way more looping but overall the book was very good and cute.
