Reviews

I was not expecting it to end on such a cliff hanger, so I am bummed about that. I thought the world was absolutely beautiful and I loved all the imagery of it. I don’t think I’m a huge fan of our MMC, but I think I’d need to go on in the series to really know. Overall it was a fun world to be apart of, but I don’t know that the characters have me wanting to go back.

Yes girl give us nothing.. Where’s the plot? I feel like the book had potential but neeever got to the point? Way too fast paced.

4 ⭐️ the last chapter left me speechless omg i need book 2 RIGHT NOW

No plot. Cringey romance. Couldn’t care less about any of the characters. Super overrated.

absolutely loved it as a whole!!! took off a star and a half because I'm not a bag fan of the begging part like 🗿🗿🗿

i neeeed book 2 asap. the tension was insane. that ending was insane. Duo POV always hits. It reminds me of Powerless by Lauren Roberts a little too much so I wish I didn't read both of them so close to each other. But nonetheless I still enjoyed the story. It was also quite spicy.

this was so good! i need book two asap. i’m giving it 4.5 because the plot isn’t really that original but it’s still really good

I was so engaged with this book and was so upset when I got to then end! Really looking forward to July

Good! Mostly! My main complaint is that this book just felt like it needed to be 200-300 pages longer than it was. I really enjoyed the plot & the romance was great. Looking forward to the next book…hopefully we’ll get a little more world-building and character development!!

I flew through this and I wasn't ready for it to be done 😭 july can't come soon enough

“I could have used a long session in the springs, but now when I thought about them, all I could think of was Nyra.
And that pissed me off.
She pissed me off.”
forced proximity, you will always be famous

"When my gaze met hers, it was like looking into the depths of the ocean. The same color as the sky when the sun disappeared behind the clouds and a storm brewed on the horizon."
“His inky black hair was messy, curling into his face, and matched his eyes that were still bearing down on me. They were so dark that they reminded me of a stormy night when the sky was so black that it swallowed the light of the stars.”
don't you just love it when the author compares eyes with the elements??? ugh I'm so in love

I was the flaw to the king’s perfect reign, and he was still hiding me as much as I was hiding from him.
say less!!!!! i'm sold

But he didn't let me go. He gripped the back of my neck, his touch firm and steady, as he forced me to look up at him, and he ran his hand slowly up my leg until his fingers rested gently on the back of my knee. His dark eyes looked into mine, unblinking and intense.
the TENSION

“Strip down, traitor.”
like why did that make me giggle
