I know this sounds like a love-triangle but it isn't! You just know from the start who she's going to pick and that's why I kept reading and I'm so glad I did! Holly Renee keeps proving why she's one of my favorite auto-buy authors! I'm flailing over here with how much I loved this novel! The grin that lit up his face was the grin of a heartbreaker, and I knew firsthand just how treacherous falling for him could be. Guys, Easton has my heart! I went into this thinking he was a player but, my gosh, he's anything but! He's the sweetest, most thoughtful human being on earth! He's mine! My heart kept melting over anything he'd say and it got to the point that I thought, "He can't get any better than this," but he did and I was a blubbering, sobbing mess! He embodies what every guy should be and my heart keeps beating so hard for this man! "I guess you'll just have to come up with a new plan to keep me from wanting you." I loved how he got Maddy to look at things differently and to see that it wasn't the end of the world if she followed her dreams. He kept supporting her to the point he got her something special to help her out and MY HEART!!! It was in that moment that I fell beyond repair. There's no coming back from Easton Cole. I was never going to recover from Easton Cole. He was destroying every piece of me, and I was letting him. [...] Without him, I would have never been brave enough to even think I could do this. Maddy and Theo have been best friends for years and I could see why Maddy would have a crush on him, but once we really start knowing him, I realized he was kind of self-centered. There was a reason why Maddy never shared her dreams with him, her best friend. That right there is a red-flag to me. When she did, his reaction was the worst. Every action he would take had me fuming! I'm glad Maddy woke up and saw the light! From the start, Easton's and Maddy's friendship/relationship feels so natural and effortless. Those two fit together like cheese, crackers and wine. Easton just made everything feel perfect between them. He's the type of guy that jokes to make people laugh or feel comfortable and that's exactly what he did when he first met Maddy. From their first interaction, I knew he would stay in my heart. "How will we explain to our children that we became enemies before we figured out that we were actually in love?" I cannot recommend this quick and fast novel enough. After not being able to read/finish any book, I finally picked this one up and inhaled it! You know I love a book a lot when I keep sharing updates of my reading experience on Twitter or Goodreads, and I couldn't stop with this one.
