I love Holly Smale's books, especially Geek Girl is my favourite series, and I also absolutely loved the first book in the 'The Valentines' series - Happy Girl Lucky. Happy Girl Lucky made me laugh so many times, was intriguing, and I loved the characters. However, I thought Far From Perfect was going to be similar. This book was from the perspective of Faith Valentine, the middle child in the family. Faith is rather a straightforward and typical character, who isn't that funny, is somewhat moody and romantic, and has impeccable manners. I didn't really like Faith - I definitely preferred Hope, the youngest sister with a bubbly personality, who was the narrative voice in Happy Girl Lucky. I also think Mercy is an intriguing character, as she is very emotional and has many thoughts swarming in her head. Also, there weren't really any complications or a climax in this book, and the only one was only how her boyfriend cheated on her and then they end up breaking up at the end. The ending felt as if needed something more and it didn't really make me content, as Faith left the fame and became a normal person. It was kind of obvious that was going to happen due to Faith's continuous annoyance of being a girl. Anyway, it still a good read, as some parts were engaging.
