Honeymoon Alone
Honeymoon Alone is told through the lens of Lucy Gray - a third grade teacher who's 29 and has never really been away from home. Lucy suffers a public humiliation at her sister's wedding, and on a whim (and after some bad advice from a wedding psychic), she breaks away from her quiet life for a vacation through London and Paris - right during the holidays. It all seems fun and full of adventure until she unwittingly winds up in the middle of a fake marriage and an international crime. Her family is overbearing, over-involved in her life, and one of Lucy's goals in leaving is to discover who she can be without all the noise of her family and her life. She meets a cast of interesting characters at the exclusive honeymoon resort she winds up staying in in London, including an old high school friend who she once couldn't stand. He's now quite handsome and charming - and very friendly to her. She draws the attention of the hotel's owner who suspects she is not who she says she is- and in his quest to learn the truth, the two find themselves in each other's company more than either would like. Ultimately a few small misunderstandings lead to a big blow-up that finds Lucy as a suspect in an international scandal. Will she find love? More importantly, will she stay out of jail?
