I’m really surprised I loved this as much as I did ! The characters were sweet and well balanced. Though I did have some qualms with the story I enjoyed all of the characters narratives as well as the dual timeline which made the story that much more exciting! Would highly recommend, 4.5/5 stars

Admittedly, I have been on a bit of a women's fiction kick recently. 

Probably because I miss the women in my life that always manage to make any day better. 

Comparing this to the two other books I have read recently, this has been my favorite. It blends past and present so well, creating parallels while also deftly displaying divides. THIS novel was worth my time. While it didn't make me laugh nor was it an escapist piece, it forced me to think of how much functioning as women affects our daily lives. How being forced into functioning as a woman hurts us. And how being unable to function in a way that we desire hurts us as well.
