I was right! Don’t mind me I’m just going to be celebrating calling it when it came to the Pritchards, more specifically Boaz who sucked. I mean you could tell it was gonna go downhill somehow just based on the book title and downhill it went. Or actually not a lot happened until Boaz revealed his true colours and that he had no backbone to stand up to his family and would always look out for himself instead of putting Grier, the woman he apparently loved, first. As you can tell, I really hate Boaz. I will say, I had some hope Amelie might redeem herself after Grier put her neck out for her last book but the Pritchards, man, they’re a selfish bunch. Amelie had never been a great friend, at least not what we’d seen of her in the page, but it still broke my little heart she hurt Grier with her plans to look out for herself. I really am worrying Grier will have no friends left at this rate. I don’t feel 100% comfortable her only friend being Linus since he’s an obvious love interest but I hope Neely does stick around. And Taz. I love how Grier is good at picking up strays and taking them in. The plot itself was slower here. It got caught up in Grier and her man troubles as well as her registering Linus was an attractive male of the species. I’m already certain they’ll be getting together so yay. I liked when they finally left Savannah and the plot picked up. But here’s me rolling my eyes at Griers special snowflake status being reinforced with her apparent parentage. Ugh, I know I expected it with the series so it didn’t ruin things but I do always hope books will surprise me. I’m still hooked on the series though. Roll on the next book.
