I feel like some topics in this book is repetitive and similar with the other book. But it’s fine. I still like it.

Everytime I read one of his books, I get yet a new way to grasp reality and get closer to mindfulness. Doing one thing at a time and focusing on it has helped me untangle my worries and anxieties. No matter how many books you read about the Now, the Present, الصوفي ابن الوقت, I think that having a minimalist guide like this one is very helpful indeed. Just like his other two books : How to Love and How to Fight, mindfulness in this one is more about our perceptions, and how it affects our reality... One key concept that is recurring in the book is choice... We are free to choose how we see the world and how we want to perceive it. The second concept was compassion aka empathy in EI terms: the willingness to accept things, people, circumstances as they are, beyond the illusion we have built for ourselves in the first place. My favourite part had to do with eternity, and how it can be felt through anything really if we take the time to stop, sit still and enjoy its existence as it is... Here's to another meditative reading! #EidRead "If we live mindfully in everyday life, walk mindfully, are full of love and caring, then we create a miracle and transform the world into a wonderful place. After trying to start this on a different day, I found myself able to sink into this on a quiet Sunday morning. It demands the right mood for you to be able to read and truly listen to it resonate. Learned that there is a full series and I'll be ordering this and giving each mindfulness part of the collection a read. Below are highlights: "Impermanence means transformation at every moment." "We need to continue expanding the boundaries of our understanding or we will be imprisoned by our views." "With mindfulness we can enjoy the present moment, the only moment of life available to us." "Your parents and ancestors weren’t able to transform all their shortcomings, so they have passed their difficulties on to you. Now you have a chance to transform them so that you will not transmit them to your children." p. 58 making peace "Terrorism cannot be destroyed by guns or bombs, for it lies in the hearts of human beings." "Waking up this morning, I smile Twenty-four brand new hours are before me I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at all beings with the eyes of compassion."
