An interesting look at what it takes to become a SEAL and then the even more elite Team Six sniper. Adapted from Wasdins adult memoir, there are places in the book that are a bit choppy. Nevertheless, this book will be wildly popular with the boys in my middle school. Wasdin gives a detailed description of the infamous BUD/S training you must make it through to be a SEAL and very detailed accounts of various takedowns he participated in as a SEAL. Insight into the Battle of Mogadishu and an account of the battle from within is intense and very interesting to read. Similar to Black Hawk Down but edited for a YA audience. Great read for reluctant boy readers.
