Ohh... Toby travels to the Kingdom of Silences as head of a diplomatic mission. Queen Windermere, you've met this lady, right? The former Queen of the Mists is massing support in her puppet government, but Toby is here to try and negotiate piece. Riiiight. Everyone ends up bleeding by the end, as is fitting of a Toby book. Also, it takes place in Portland and we get to learn so much more about alchemy! (It's terrifying. There is blood. This should not be surprising at this point)
This series just keeps getting better! I love it so much! Just when Toby thinks she can relax, somebody decides they want to start a war. I don't want to say anything else or I might spoil it for you. I love fantasy. Usually epic fantasy. But there is so much to love about this urban fantasy series! I recommend this to everyone.
