Yes, she does, but I’m used to that by now. At least she has a reason I can get on board with. Many before her didn’t. I’ve been expendable to most people , and at some point, I got used to being left behind.

That book was not a romance but a tragedy. It physically hurt having to read about them getting together. I was never so devastated to find a smut scene because I prayed everytime she wouldn't give in. But she did every time and he hurt her more and more😭

I don't get how anyone would be able to ship those two. He treats her like the trash he wanted to toss out weeks ago. This is the kind of man the mc normally leaves behind and find herself a real one. She shouldn't end up with him😭

“For such a clever guy, you’re awfully oblivious. I’ll always come to you if you let me, and I’ll always take you back no matter how much it hurts to watch you sneak out at night.”

I love Cassy and seeing her in this toxic relationship broke my heart.

No one will ever stick around. No one will ever love me. No one will ever care.

A small smile tugs her lips, but there’s nothing joyful about it. She looks like she gave up, stopped fighting for herself, and accepted what life has in store, regardless of how much it hurts.

And after everything she's been through - keep in mind this was 70% in and she was in the hospital with broken ribs - he had the nerve to think this:

I absolutely despised that the author made her pregnant. I saw it coming miles ahead and I loathed it. That's not gonna be a happy family. No she's gonna be stuck with him because of the child and ends up being miserable her whole life. And his sudden insight of "Oh my god I love her" was such bullshit, too. I just rolled my eyes and prayed he would leave her alone. If he really did love her, he would've left her alone to heal and find someone who doesn't lock her in a cold garage for hours (at least three - my jaw hit the floor) after a traumatic event while still being in wet clothes shivering. After he fucked her during said traumatic event. You heard correct.

It was like watching a train coming but no matter what you do the person stays on the rails.

And once she finally had enough strength to tell him to go away he ignored her like a stubborn child that got his toy taken away. That fucker knew she wasn't strong enough to tell him more than the seven (?!?! Can he understand the word leave???) times she tried.

The NERVE, the sheer AUDACITY he had every time to ask her why she cried. I never wanted to scream so loudly "YOU" at someone. I knew he would act shocked, too. Asshole.

ASSHOLE. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON HIS REACTION TO THE BABY NEWS. He actually got angry and forbid her even thinking about abortion when she offered it so she could stay his dirty little secret. That's how deeply he fucked her up. HE HAS NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER being angry that she'd considering every option. ESPECIALLY after what he did to her time and time again.

“I love you so much,” she whispers, weaving her fingers through my hair and deepening the kiss. “I’ll make you happy, Logan. I promise you won’t regret this.”

I was so sick reading this. He yelled at her five minutes ago that she wouldn't dare to abort the baby if she really loved him and then said the most unauthentic I love you I ever heard. And this is her reaction. I wanted to vomit. He manipulated her so badly omg🤢😭 And he really had the guts to joke about leaving the morning after. I can't comprehend how someone can actually be like this. He must've fallen on his head so many times as a kid. He actually laughed in her face when she was terrified of his python. And he did it again even after claiming he loves her. Sick fucker. And his mom is a bitch. There, I said it.

The worst part is that I don't even hate him. That's how manipulative he was written. I get Cassy🙃

I'm so disappointed in the book and I'm even more sorry for Cassy. It broke my heart. She never wanted anything else than having just one person on this earth say "I love you"😭😭 She even talked about not having friends who love her and then she said it to Thalia and I thought this would be the moment. She would finally hear the words.. but Thalia never said it back😭
