Reviews

If you're looking for a book that combines stand-up comedy with life lessons, this is the one.

3.8?

Totally hilarious and fascinating autobiography, seriously crazy life

I came into this book already a huge fan of Kevin Hart's stand up performances and general motivational activities he takes part in via social media. So I already had an idea of what to expect from the book however I was pleasantly surprised. When we hear about celebrities/performers and their latest accomplishments from the new or social media it's very easy to underestimate the effort or the work it took for them to get into the position they are in but through reading the book it gave a very rare glimpse into how hard it actually is and the sheer amount of perseverance required to "make" it. Kevin really opens up here and delivers a clear message into what's required to be successful, in addition, the book had me audibly laughing at some parts.

One of the best autobiographies I've read; I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I smiled and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute reading this book. There were some days I had to be told to put the book down and pay attention to something else. Definitely a must-read, Kevin will have you laughing your ass off for the entire book.

Raw truth, sometimes hard to listen to, but also sometimes very humorous. I love the life lessons, the tenacity and the hard work. This was excellent to listen to on Audible as read by Kevin Hart himself.

** spoiler alert ** I'm on Chapter 93 , and the book already gave me enough big life lessons, Kevin Hart is a stand-up comedian and An Actor but at the Same time he has worked in many fields,he worked hard in the field of swimming although he didn't got any awards rather than a Certificate of Participation and Full attendance,he is also good at basketball! So far so good, the book gives you a profound memoir of struggles and hardships! Well, ignore his writing skills! Update:- Can't Make This Up: Life Lessons Book by Kevin Hart and Neil Strauss. #REVIEW# So I started this book in May and ended up picking and resting it for days, I read the few Starting chapters in a fast pace as I'm a admirer of Kevin Hart and I love his movies/comics/stand ups,so I was expecting to know some weird and unheard Facts about his life and yes I was not disappointed, his writing skills is not like that of other self help books author but I was always sticked to his metaphors and comic style writing, the book is 450+ pages thick and really really enjoyed it, the reason it took me so long to read and Complete the book was that I was reading some books simultaneously and on the other side I was struggling in my university admission. Finally the day has come. Kevin Hart wrote about his childhood, how his mother was very strict and religious, how he never Got to watch movies and play video games and spend money on expensive merchandises as his friends and white people, how he struggled with his studies, how girls Never liked him,he wrote about some funny and emotional phases of his life, about his first kiss and girlfriend, about his brother who was a juvenile criminal, about his addicted dad. After reading this book I'm admiring his even more. "Every experience is a potential life lesson. Even if you don’t appreciate it at the time, each struggle in the present is preparing you for something else in the future." Thanks.
