           DNF around the day 5 mark in which an entire day is wasted, and nothing happens? In a time sensitive story like this, there's just no room for fillers. There are SO many POVs to explore and this was just kind of the last straw.

Overall, I felt like the driving plot for every character was INCREDIBLY weak. A father who disappeared, a sister who disappeared, and an aimless character with no driving force at all. Even once they come together, I don't feel any real connection among these strangers.

I loved that this book offered so much diversity and the description got me SO excited for it. There are so many great possibilities with a plot line like this. There was also great intention to give these characters distinct qualities and personalities, but I didn't really get a sense of them. I also didn't feel any end of the world fears like I feel like I should have been feeling.

I'm glad I didn't spend the time reading the entire thing because this also was not the kind of book that should have had an open ending for some characters.. if you can even call it that? It didn't feel open it just didn't feel.. finished at all. Super disappointing.

I will admit I really did enjoy both the characters in this read and also the suble science fiction twist in this novel. I really did like the diversity of the POV and also how the characters. I thought this book also dealt with harder topics that are so common in the world but rarely seen and loved how this book handled belief and what to believe and found it to be so intreasting. I wish the book had a more clear ending, But if you enjoy books with a open ending this might be the book for you. I also wish all there POV tied in a bit more. I did also like that these characters came from not only some many different backgrounds but also places. Fans of we all look up, should check out this read.

           I enjoyed the story overall, but gave 3 stars because I did not enjoy the ending.

I was expecting so much more from this book. It just feels like not much is happening, although the possible end of the world is imminent. I wouldn't really say this is a sci-fi book, other than there aliens threatening to annihilate humanity. But we don't really find out much more about those aliens. Alsooo I generally don't like books about traveling across the country, and there's a lot of that in here.

But okay. This book is definitely about a quest to self-discovery, for all the characters involved. I did appreciate the diversity in this book and the way all the POVs wrapped up in the end (even though I wish that could've happened sooner). I also really appreciate that : boy meets girl, and NO ROMANTIC FEELINGS DEVELOP 👏Refreshing and realistic ahaha.

That ending though. AGH. I don't know how I feel about it 😅 I love to hate open endings, but they're generally the ones that stick with me the most.... so they're the best? 🤷‍♀️
