The two reasons I found this manageable to go on with was a) the symbolism emphasized multiple times throughout the novel, b) the awesome references I, myself, enjoy. Such as Lord of the Rings, The Shining, and Johnny Cash, and last but not least, c) I relate to Barbara's fear of her mom dying.

5 stars | Absolutely loved this. The art is stunning and the story is beautiful. I wasn't expecting this graphic novel to make me so emotional. One of my favourites ever. I'm definitely going to have to get my own copy. Highly recommend!
