I believe the main theme was as it was stated on the cover, " Everyone has their own version of the truth." When you read this book, you'll relate in some way to every character and that is what makes this such a great book. Unlike other books, Leslie's suicide doesn't magically solve every problem. This book shows the anger and the resentment and the guilt that comes from a suicide.
