"I want to eat your pancreas."
One sentence. So weird, yet so meaningful.
It started out as a quirky statement by Sakura. She mentions a folktale that goes something like: when you have a diseased organ, by eating that same organ, you can heal.

And then, "I want to eat your pancreas" became their way of saying "I want (you) to live," or "I want to be a part of you." It became an expression of connection, some sort of way to tell each other that they care. It was also Haruki's last words to Sakura, and oh! It was so beautiful! I cried tons! 

When was the last time I read a manga? 
I am so glad I picked up this book.
