My recent and ongoing heartbreak-reading-slump due to my latest fave fantasy series ending (how dare it!), made me finally pick up what everyone read like 2 years ago. Maybe it’s the hype that’s over, maybe it’s just me but I feel like a cat who jumped into a basket out of curiosity and then found out there’s nothing in there.

This didn’t work out for me, I’m glad it’s a short one and I have no desire to read through the other 19 books (dude, really). It felt incredibly flat in its entirety, the only bumps and ridges found on locals anatomy and I wasn’t able to find a connection to either of the characters.

If you’re looking for low-threshold smut and to shut off your brain for a while, this probably could do it.

I’m glad a lot of you had fun with this, just wasn’t my cup of tea, is all.

Hahahahhaah GUYS we listen and we don’t judge. Look it reads like a watt pad book. I will say my biggest issue was there was a rape scene like on page 8 that I wasn’t aware was in the book :( after that…..hear me out….. the main guy is sweet hahaha. And it was…hot. Basically it’s like any other fantasy romance. The world building was fun, obviously it’s short (180 pages) so there’s not a ton of it but still.

Very short without character development. Interesting story and sweet romance, but I wish it were longer with peaks and valleys. Not sure if I'll continue with the series.

Don’t….read this in public. As a matter of fact, tread carefully while reading it in private too. Maybe I’m just used to Ruby Dixon after reading her fireblood series because Alien smut did not phase me in the slightest. Anyways, idc what anyone says if I’ll read all these books and enjoy it😂

i liked this so much more than i thought i would. it’s a good light read and i’m very interested in the other girls stories now!

Everyone was recommending this but I WISH I had read this intro so I wasn’t taken so aback. There is a group rape scene in the very first 13 pages. I had to stop reading for a while. Please be advised if you pick this book up it is a DARK smut book.

I have been putting this off for a while. Something about this scared me and while this was an experience to say the least doesn’t change the discomfort I felt. I think this was a mental block type of thing because it was so weird to read it because this is not my typical type of book to read. The writing was good and the plot was simple and comcise it was really just the overall concept that my brain just kept saying not so much to. But ultimately I finished it but may not be continuing the series.
