“You woke me back up, Libby. You have to know that.”

“What are you doing?" I whisper, heart pounding.

“Touching you." Gently he strokes my skin, and he sighs as though in heaven.

" There is," he whispers fiercely. "You have me. You have me, Liberty." 

“Don't know if you noticed," I say with false lightness, "but it's raining cows and chickens out there."

Her snort buffets my skin. "Cows and chickens?"

“This here is a farm country, Libs,” I drawl. Ain’t no cars and dogs filling these skies.” 

I can feel her smile against my chest. “We’re more about produce than cows. Did you see any falling tomatoes?" 

“I might’ve been slapped upside the head with some flying arugula. It was too windy to tell." 

“His grin is quick and wide. “I knew it. All bark.”

      I won’t smile. I won’t. “Eat your sandwiches.”

“Oh, I bite, babe. But you’ll like it.”

“I bite back, Kill, and you won’t like it.”

anw, i was really annoyed with jax and his behaviour. he had no business treating libby like shit. what he'd been through is not and will never be an excuse. he’s just so fucking annoying, i hope he redeems his self on his book.

4.5 ⭐️ — this book. . how do I describe it? fascinating? good? funny? adorable? my first book from miss Callihan and first in the series and I enjoyed it to tiny bits. never known that rock star romance is a thing that I be needed to put in my list and I truly am all down for this book. this is all go out for lawn bum and elly may because they are absolutely terrific characters. I mean, c'mon Libby met him drunk in her lawn and sprayed hose and he puked?? ew, yea that happened. then they developed connection and music united them together. in my mind I always thought a conclusion if you are famous in rock band you could be a total jackass. but nope, it didn't happen to Killian. he was generous, sweet and decent person. he got obsessed with the girl and putting solid support for her to be musician. I just love this so much, I may be gonna cry.

The first half of the book was so good and cute but the second half felt like a fanfic.

Killian has gone after his dreams but has paid a horrible price and now has lost touch with his music and needs to find it again. When Libby and Killian connect, music breathes life back into the both of them and the passion they have for each other. But life intrudes on them, and soon Libby will have to make a painful choice….to follow her own dreams or to share a life with the man she loves….

Killian is the lead singer of the most famous rock group, but due to some setbacks, all of them have taken a year off from the music and gone on sabbatical for the time being. Killian almost lost his best friend and has lost his love for music. But when Libby enters his life, he starts to find his passion for music once again. Killian is one of those heroes that may be overdone but is so well written you can’t help but fall mad for him. Killian is a infamous rock star, knows his music and knows his band and knows how to work the crowd. He doesn’t do anything half full and Killian becomes tested but you see how much depth he is capable of.

Libby lives in a small community, and with her parent’s recent deaths, lives away from the public eye and works from home, living a life of contentment. But Libby soon realizes that she needs more than that. Libby has the heart for music, but has denied herself for quite some time. Her parents were famous singers, but didn’t want to encourage her talent because they knew how rough the life could be. However when Libby meets Killian and slowly warms up to him, she discovers her talent for music. I did love seeing Libby come to life in this story and how much she learns and grows as a character. She became so real.
 
  
    Plot and Story Line 
  
 
Idol by Kristen Callihan is simply fantastic and even though I was suspecting it to be a average rock star romance….it was not your typical standard story you would expect to find. I admit I was pleasantly surprised by Idol, and with Kristen Calliahan at the helm I should have expected a story that would be different, and it was.  First off, these two don’t meet in your usual conventional way. And boy do these two go at it for a while. There is a bit of flirty angst in the beginnings of their relationship, but soon it goes deeper. Then they both discover music together, and this was one of my favorite aspects of this book. But then reality hits and these two have to make some tough decisions. And boy do they both have a tough road to travel!! Man….I Adored Idol so very much and I liked the unique take that Calliahan puts on this story. It surprised me in big ways and little ways. It keeps me curious about what would happen next and It was quite a ride to see this pair figure out their HEA. I will admit that it could be heartbreaking at times but so worth the ride. So well written and very engaging.  It was such fun to become so immersed in this story and involved with this couple. And I am very curious about the other band members and their stories!!! I can’t wait to see what comes next.

What happens when a rockstar crashes into your yard? Well, you fall in love, obviously. 

Killian and Libby meet under unusual circumstances however apathy breeds friendship and ends with love. 

You can say that Killian and Libby are music and lyrics. You can’t have one without the other. The path to love is paved with misunderstandings but eventually they get it right. While this is a rock star romance it doesn’t have infidelity or the rocker habits. 

An enjoyable read and a good start to a series.

Nunca gostei muito quando um dos protagonistas eram um “fenómeno do rock mundial”; li uns quantos e sempre achei que acaba por ser um pouco irrealista ou, por vezes, rabiscado. Neste, concretamente, a melhor parte foi mesmo que mais de 60% do livro se passa quando essa mesma ‘rockstar’ está de férias e é possível, para o leitor, aprofundar as opiniões sobre o personagem fora do palco. 

O que não gostei foi que os protagonistas, como casal, não convenceram no processo de se apaixonarem, foi demasiado rápido, não em termos temporais mas no que corresponde ao que foi descrito no livro; sabemos que passaram semanas até, efetivamente, se juntarem mas não “vimos” essas semanas a acontecerem o que nos da a sensação de “insta love” o que, pessoalmente, detesto.

Tirando tudo isso, os protagonistas do têm personalidades que se encaixam muito bem e as referências musicais são um pormenor delicioso.

No geral, a historia é engraçada e a banda, quando finalmente se reúne, faz com que todos queiramos mais momentos deles todos juntos (até eu que normalmente detesto essas partes).

it took me a while to get into this book. after reading the fine print, i guess I’m going through rowan kane (the fine print) withdrawals. 

rockstar romances are not something i naturally lean towards so i wasn’t sure about it. 

well, it certainly wasn’t my favourite book ever, but i did enjoy it a lot, specially since this is not my usual type of romance. 

i liked libby and killian together and their banter. they were cute. 

now, I’m excited about scottie’s book - gabriel and sophie’s story. i’ve heard great things about it.

i finally finished the entire vip series with this book so cheers, i loved killian and libby, the beginning was just swoony and amazing but sometime during the middle i felt like nothing major was happening and we didn't get any fluffy scenes between them because most of them were smut.
The ending was pretty good tho.

i really thought this would be 4 star read but the more i read it, i fell in love with the characters and their story! libby and killian were such amazing characters to read about and that includes them as a couple!

Liberty Bell is forever my best girl! I loved her from the first page and i loved reading about her. i kinda saw a little of myself in her. overall she was an amazing character to read about.

Killian James... what i can i say about him? like theres so many i can say about him! i seriously love this man with my whole life. he was funny and cute from the first page and i love that. the way he would push libby was very cute. theres one thing about this man that i love about him is that he cares so much for the people in life, from jax to everyone in kill john (the band).

Killianlibby were hands down amazing, i wasnt expecting to love them so much but i did. they really had me kicking my feet and giggling, no lie. I loved all the moment they had each other, it showed you that killian would do anything for libby! At the very end when jax told killian to get his woman.. i love that part so much!

Overall i had a great time reading idol, it was such an amazing read!

This is my third Kristen Callihan book and I think for now it's my favorite! There's somethings i didn't quite like that much, I feel like they started a little bit too quickly but god, their development? The love and admiration and care they have for each other just warmed my heart I had to give them 4 stars! Never read a rock star romance before and I can't wait to continue with this series and read the others love story! 
Killian stole my freaking heart the moment he appeared, even though it wasn't his best moment, I feel for him hard! And Libby, my grumpy kind sweet baby deserves the world! I love how both of them challenge each other and both of them woke each other up, though Libby doesn't really want the rock star life, she loves signing and the power it gives her, so I'm so happy Killian truly challenge her to try and just live her dream! And I also loved how Libby was the one to wake up Killian and inspire him to go back with the band and make new songs and loving his job again! They were so cute but also so funny and so damn hot, these two just god!!

This was a SEXY book and kristen has yet to let me down. I haven’t read a book by her yet that I haven’t absolutely loved. 

my only problem wasn’t really a problem, I was just having major issues with how the heroine was called libby because that is what my grandmother is called, so if you’re grandmother is called libby, and I struggled.
