In Love & Pajamas is the sweetest, funniest set of comics about love and relationships. 

I absolutely adored these comics! I ended up being so giggly excited that I couldn't help but continually suggest it to my friends as I was reading it. It's relatable, all about being yourself and just so darn adorable. It's so sweet and friendly and simplistic. I love it! This is the kind of comics I love - easy to read, easy to binge or simply pick up whenever, and really fun.

If you're seeking a safe, friendly and fun book that won't stress you out - grab this book. It's well worth the money. Honestly, it's one of my new favourites and I'm recommending it to anyone seeking something soft, light and fluffy.

This was nominated in the Goodreads Choice Awards for Comics and Graphic Novels.. and that's the reason I read it. I mean I tried, this wasn't for me. This was for kids I guess? This.. was way too cute for me and a cringe-fest from start to finish. 

Also, I'd love to know how the hell comics like that make it in the awards category while others that deserve the spot a billion times more are nowhere to be found. Oh well! 

This wasn't for me. Or for you, unless you're a 12 year old and in love?! I don't really have an answer.

To sum up: If you want to read a comic with 100 or so pages that each page play exactly the same, for example, to read about a couple who's talking on the phone saying "You hang up. No you hang up" for about an eternity or so.. then by all means, have fun!

So recently I finally got around to making a Netgalley account and I noticed the artwork on the cover of this comic immediately. Who doesn't know the iconic art of Cat and John and all of their fun and mundane experiences of a relationship?

I was so thankful it was in the "Read now" of Netgalley and I could dive into it straight away. I got my hands on this in the very first hour of making my Netgalley account and I opened it straight away and read it in one sitting without even meaning to. I only wanted to have a peek at it before settling into it another time but before I knew it, it was an hour later and I was finished.

Needless to day I loved this comic. It just brought out so many happy and sappy emotions. I resonated so much with it and I thought the artwork was so fun. My face hurt by the end as a result of smiling so much. 

I highly recommend anyone pick up this fun read. It's definitely a pick me up kind of read and I'm sure it'll put you in a great mood like it did for me.

In Love & Pajamas is the first Catana's collection of comics that landed in my hands, and I promised myself I would read more of them, such as Snug. 

What I loved the most about this collection is that it made me feel loved too. This charming little book made me feel loved, made me feel wanted, appreciated, and it made me feel cosy and comfortable in my fuzzy pyjama under the blanket while reading it. 

This read was well worth the hot chocolate getting slightly cold while getting lost in my thoughts and being reminded of my favourite childhood characters from Kim Casali's Love Is... cartoons. I still adore Kim Casali's work, and Catana did a great job of reminding me about Casali's Love Is...

These comics are super cute, super relatable, lovable, comforting and, above all, they put a smile on your face while reading them. 

P. S. If you ever thought of gifting a cute comic book to someone you love and care about, and you want to show them how you feel about them, look no further; In Love & Pajamas is the perfect birthday present.

While I enjoyed Catana Chetwynd’s first collection, it was a bit too cutesy for me. This one, however, struck a different chord with me. While it’s still pretty cutesy, it’s also a bit toned down and more about being an established couple. Plus, after 2020, who doesn’t need something pure and sweet?



The general theme of the collection is being loved, weirdness and all, and for the most part, I found the comics charming and worth a giggle. I wouldn’t say they’re laugh-out-loud funny, and that’s not the intent. They’re not the kind of comics you have to send to everyone because “omg it’s so funny,” they’re the ones you send to your significant other because they remind you of your relationship. There’s lots of silliness about choosing to stay in and cuddle rather than going out, bits about their dog, and just generally how weird they are, together.



The artist has a very recognizable style, with characters with adorably big heads and eyes. It’s deceptively simple line art done mostly in greyscale, but the characters are still very expressive, though John’s beard/hair combo took a little to get used to. The lettering also emphasizes roundness (and adds to the cuteness) but I found it easily readable.



Overall, this collection has perfect timing, as it’s the exact sort of thing I could see someone buying their significant other for Valentine’s Day.

I absolutely love the art style, & i love how it showcases how free & weird you should be able to be with your partner. I smiled throughout the entire book because I could totally relate.

This was such a cute graphic novel about a couple going on their everyday lives. It reminded me a lot of Soppy by Philippa Rice, which I really enjoyed. It is fun and light-hearted and it portrays what a happy healthy relationship should look like. The events that the author depicts are very relatable; I definitely saw myself represented several times.
The art style was not my favourite, but I have to admit it was pretty good and adorable. Also, a very fast read, I read the entirety of it on one sitting.

A collection of comics that makes you feel good about the daily stuff that goes with being in a long term relationship. I found myself laughing and nodding at quite a few of these thinking that is me and my husband to a T. It also made me realize that no its not just us that these things happen to and that maybe laughing instead of getting frustrated is the better route, so thank you for the lesson Catana! Overall if you need a quick pick me up and have been with your partner for long enough that you know them better than yourself check these out!

This was super cute! I've seen the author's art float around social media the last few years and always found it so adorable, and really relatable. The cartoons remind me a lot of my relationship with my husband. They're funny, real, and you can feel the love :) I'll definitely be checking out her other collections like this!

I have been following Catana for quite some time on Instagram already. I absolutely adore her comics, which I always find so relatable. This third collection of comics isn’t an exception. I had a smile on my lips for the whole time and even laughed out loud a few times. It’s one of those books that just makes you happy and feel-good. I don’t have much to say about this little one, no critics just compliments. The art is really cute and the characters, especially if you’re in a relationship I think, are so relatable. You read some of the story and you’re like “oh, I’m not the only one, good.” :D

I 100% recommend this book, as well as her previous ones obviously.

This book is not only adorable, it is relatable to every young couple! I am filled with the warm fuzzies while looking through these illustrations. Definitely a great gift and coffee table book. She had captured the essence of being at home with your spouse.
