Not as good as I hoped - but not as bad as I feared. In fact pretty dang interesting. It left me wanting to know more about the patients in Carvelle, more about leprosy in general and probably a little bit more about Neil White and his family. I loved having the photos in the book and was mostly fascinated by the stories of his grandmother, grandfather and mother. 

I find myself skeptical that the author changed in the way he said he hoped for. He was a pretty self-centered, egotistical man. But maybe he did. I look forward to hearing him tomorrow at Southern Voices.
