In Time

I love he darkest minds, and I love the characters and this story totally gave me more, gave me things I absolutely loved. That said it wasn't what I was expecting and it kinda let me down. Did it give some back story? Not really. Did it answer some questions? Absolutely! Did it make me cry? Of course, it wouldn't be part of the series if it did haha. All in all it was a nice little story, but it wasn't what I had hoped for. Especially since I really only felt like 10 pages or less of it were actually important to the all over story.

DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN?! We better get closure to this! Ahh! Heart wrenching and great novella with fantastic character development! Especially that ending just FEELINGS AND HEARTBREAK AND I WAS CRYING AND JUST....ugh do not skip this one!!

Gabe,whyyy? Why must you hurt me so? Alexandra Bracken, I hate you and love you so much for what you've done. The character development in this is flawless, and just watching Gabe go from that horrible state of desperation to incredibly caring was mindnumbing. I'm quite a big fan of these conflinted, kind of dark characters, and Gabe was portrayed flawlessly. It undoubtedly more than earned five stars.

*Spoilers* I love how we get to see Zu and where she is after she left East River. It was really cute seeing them warm up to each other and it made me crack smiles here and there. Really liked this short story. The ending was so sad! It broke my heart! Ughh poor Zuzume! I think I liked this more than the actual 1st book.

4.5 🌟 Solitamente non leggo le novelle delle serie che seguo, soprattutto se sono state successivamente pubblicate insieme. In questo caso mi sembrava doveroso visto che sono passati cosa due anni da quando ho letto The Darkest Minds? Dovevo rientrare nel giro, ricordarmi un pò cos'era successo, e una novella mi sembrava il modo perfetto per farlo. Sì avrei potuto rileggere il primo libro, ma non ne avevo voglia 🤣. La storia mi è piaciuta un sacco! Gabe è un personaggio estremamente complesso e avrei preferito che la sua storyline fosse stata ampliata, magari inglobata in qualche modo in Never Fade giusto per avere un back ground più specifico su di lui e per vedere come avrebbe interagito con gli altri personaggi. Soprattutto sto pensando ad un certo personaggio di Never Fade, sarebbe stato ESTREMAMENTE interessante. Ma questo abbiamo avuto e questo ci terremo u.u. Gli happy ending non esistono in questa serie, se ne trovo uno alla fine di In the Afterlight mi spacco la mascella 👻. Dalla sorpresa ovviamente, sarebbe così grande lo stupore che succederebbe. Ma nei distopici ci sta anche bene, quindi non mi lamento ;D.
