This is my first time reading Vi Keeland, I was supposed to ignore this book and read something else last night but then I figured out why don’t I try one of Vi Keeland and you know? I made a huge mistake for not reading this earlier. 

I love all the storyline and the patient both of the character and less problem on the office romance things going on between them. It was just spectacular! And I really love this book.

           Bueno, no pude contenerme y tuve que leerme otro libro de Vi (y con esta historia me pongo a pensar que prefiero las historia de Vi que las de Penelope, aunque al final terminé siendo casi que la misma fórmula para construir sus respectivas historias).

A ver… para sorpresa mía, este libro me terminó gustando bastante. No lo tenía fe, tengo que confesarlo. Pero por eso mismo de no tener expectativa alguna, fue que terminé disfrutando de esta historia de principio a fin.

Debo de admitir que… odio cuando en los libros (más que nada en los de romance) me ponen a una pareja compuesta por: 

Personaje A: quiere tener una gran familia, hijos, perro, casa con patio, etc.
Personaje B: no quiere nada de eso (mayormente por un gran trauma o mala experiencia).

Me parece súper injusto que al final uno de esos dos personajes termine cambiando de opinión por el otro, y más cuando meten un maldito pregnancy trope. Dios, como odio eso.

Ninguno debería renunciar a sus posturas por el otro, y me fastidia que siempre sea el personaje que justamente no quiere tener hijos, sea el que termine cediendo y aceptando la realidad.

Pero en fin, no es culpa ni de Grant ni de Ireland. Es culpa de Vi por escribirles un background demasiado trágico. Siento que se pueden escribir buenos personajes, con tramas bastante decentes, sin meterle tanto drama a sus historias individuales (más que nada a sus pasados)🤷🏻‍♀️.

Aunque a favor de Grant, debo de decir que a pesar de su fachada de “mujeriego” o lo que sea (porque tampoco creo que esa palabra sea acorde para describirlo), se pudo ver que a él le gustaba la idea de estar enamorado, la gran familia y los happily ever after. 

¿Cosas trágicas de esta historia que me dejaron un poco (bastante) sin palabras?

Qué Lily fuese la responsable de la muerte de Leilani, y que aunque estuviera enferma mentalmente (bipolaridad), entiendo totalmente a Grant por no encontrar la manera de perdonarla por lo que sucedió.

La historia de los padres de Ireland. O sea… muy fuerte eso de que su padre terminara matando a su madre por un ataque de celos y que la dejara esposada a radiador durante dos días. A veces como que Vi exagera con el drama 🫠

En fin, ¿algo lindo que mencionar? La amistad de Mia e Ireland 😭 las mujeres literal planificaron embarazarse al mismo tiempo y había incluso decidido que nombres ponerles a sus respectivos hijos. Fan total de esas dos.

Vi seriously takes you on an emotional roller coaster with this one that you were NOT expecting. The story starts on the lighter side with Ireland being fired for something that happens on vacation so she ends up writing a drunken email to the CEO. By the end your heart is flayed open for Grant and you are so damn overjoyed for his happily ever after. Once I started this one I had to finish.

Oooo this book was good. This book had me trying to put the pieces of the mystery together. I didn't understand Lily's role and why she was no longer in the picture. I did guess the reason and I'm honestly so shocked that things turned out that way. I was so confused at first with everything but it all started coming together. I was happing with the ending and enjoyed this story too.
