I was reading this book skipping like half of the pages (especially near the end) because it's boring. What we have here:
1. The State were everyone is the same. Emotions are banned. And it's controlled by VI. Ira Levi's work with language is especially interesting. Like "fight" is considered "bad" word for instance. 
2. Absolutelly unnecesarry love story. Like how can you love one girl and 30 pages later sleep with your friend's girlfriend??? And like Ira Levin presents it like a love of his life. Also the book has more than one dub-con scene.
3. Idk the fate of half of the characters. They just come and go. It seems both author and the protagonist forget about them.

Conclusion: the setting is unique and cool. The rest is bad.
