So many things happened in this book and I don't even know where to start! 

There were so many moments I wanted to strangle Eroan for his lack of caring. Now granted he was struggling a lot with right vs. wrong, wanting to be what his village needed and wanting what he couldn't have, this man went through a lot yet he kept on redeeming himself. He kept proving that he is a man that can grow from his prejudice views. I loved that, and I loved how much his character grew in this book.

Lysander, my poor baby. I cried so many times in this book because of how much shit is just constantly thrown at this little cinnamon-roll. He has been given the worst of the worst and see's himself as un-savable and undeserving of any love. My heart went out to him so many times. He isn't accepted by his dragon clan, he was pretty much sold off as a sex slave, I mean the ringer this boy went through. Yet, always at the end of that dark tunnel Eroan is there and I can't even begin to express my feelings for this.

There were still some strange plot holes, but the plot definitely gets better. I still feel like some things are dragged on and that it could have been shorter, or more to the point. I loved that we got to see this dynamic between dragon, human, and elf. Such an unlikely team of hero's yet they fit so perfectly. A band of misfits that I can't help but love. 

There is a character in this series - Nye. I do NOT like him what-so-ever. He needs to fall off the face of the planet. 

And of course the romance build between Eroan and Lysander is just so perfect and unperfect. It hurts my heart to have Lysander always think that nothing good lasts for him. He truly is a character that is seen as broken and it's just, yah I am not going to cry but I am crying just thinking of what they continuously do to this unbelievably strong man.

Let's hope the next book doesn't tear out my soul.
