Barely finished it was so disappointingly dull. I loved the first book so much—this was just ridiculous.

I LOVED the blend of history, fantasy and romance. Enemies to lovers turned touch her and you die / I will burn the world down to save her. We love to see it 👏🏾

I really enjoyed how the author incorporated her love for Egypt and the real life history and people into the story - the attention to detail was superb. I’m so sad to see these characters go I had the best time. The drama, the twists and reveals I did not see those coming. 

I’m so glad Inez found her own family and love that she deserves because her parents were not it.

I loved the characters and the plot, I think the world Ibañez created was well thought through, and tangible in a way. I wanted to give 3 stars for my love of the story she told, but the writing style didn’t work for me.
