Here I am limping over the finish line of this mammoth book. 
Honestly, for most of the middle of the book (I'm talking hours upon hours) I was convinced this was going to be 2 stars at most. 

There are so many pages where all we get are suppositions - half of them false - and rehashing of old information. This made the plot drag even worse than the tediously long and delayed journey our MCs were on. When we finally got to the epic conclusion of the quests - well they were over and done with as much fanfare as any other book, so I was left feeling left down. 

I bumped this up to three stars because I was genuinely upset at two point (won't be specific because of spoilers), and I always bump up reviews when I feel proper emotion. 

But was tempted to bump back down at the very end. I literally read the last sentence and said "REALLY?!"

Now, I don't regret reading this series. And I honestly enjoyed the first couple of books very much. But I agree with other reviewers - it felt like it became too unwieldy, and it could have definitely done with more rewrites, more editing, and less Habitat. As much as I long for the third Rothfuss book, I will always support his decision to take a very long time making it right, than rush out the book to please fans. I don't think that's exactly what happened here, given that the series wasn't meant to be anywhere near as long as 7 books (with a final book at well over 1000 pages...), but I wish just a bit more had been given over to concluding this series.

Now back to my regularly scheduled reading, as I try to catch up on all the books I had planned on reading whilst I slogged through this one!

           I really enjoyed this book. Yeah there’s a lot of information dumping but it was still awesome read. Little confused with the ending though. Her quest to free the animals would have been better being more detailed but overall I loved it
