I just really do not enjoy Colleen Hoover as an author. I think that mature topics and content is not written with maturity, care, or proper research/experience. It Ends With Us is a book with very mature content and yet it has extremely cringey dialogue and is incredibly predictable. I also feel like it romanticizes trauma.

the beginning was good, def a little fast-paced near the end, but it was nice, emotional rollercoaster

cliche at times, with bits that made me feel like i was reading a wattpad novel with how conveniently things fell into place, but overall : not as bad as i thought it would be.

think it handled dv in a pretty sincere manner in its own way, and i think reading the author’s note made the message more poignant. just. not really sure why it got all the hype.

also:: cannot get baldoni and lovely’s faces out of my mind. even more convinced now too that the “”costume”” choices for the movie were aWFUL.

   It was 2:44 AM when I finished reading it. I didn't know I would cry much more than I expected. It's so sad that I can't tell my friends how beautifully written this book is, since they don't read english books. I am relieved and happy with what Lily's decision is. I loved and hated Ryle for what he did to Lily, this makes me realize that sometimes sorry seems cheap. For Atlas, I loved that he waited for Lily to heal before he took a move. Although, I have read many spoilers from booktok and bookstagram, I thought it wouldn't hurt but I have the urge to cry silently thinking that I might wake someone. This one is the best and I can't wait to read more of Ms. Colleen Hoover's books.

I had mixed feelings while reading this story. I could feel very sad and hurt when the behaviors of abuse, toxic relationships, and attempted rape appeared in the story. I wanted to try to learn the best lessons from the author's experience, but there were many things that made me uncomfortable while reading this book. Particularly, when Atlas and Lily's relationship started when they were very young, or when Ryle and Lily's very confusing relationship can be resolved in a way that makes no sense. Although I didn't really like reading this book, but at least I got a lot of lessons and different perspectives after reading this book.

I absolutely devoured this book. First off I really despise Ryle. In the beginning I liked him then as the story went on I started to not like him. My favorite parts were when she was reading the diaries of her and Atlas. I was rooting for them the entire time. I loved Lily and Allysa's friendship

I’ve also felt related to the story between Lily and Ryan (maybe because it has reminded me of one of my own relationship, without the violent part though) so it was difficult for me at first to accept the reality of Ryan violence, just like for Lily. 

So I would say that this book has actually made me grow, and it made me realize things without me having to actually experience them. And I think that this is one of the most important role of books.

However, I think some sexual contents are to necessary, and it’s giving fan-service vibe, hence the rating.
