I really did not enjoy this book at all. It was incredibly difficult to get into as I have found most Russian literature to be. The characters were hard to keep straight. I finished the book without knowing the relationships between most of them. The point of the entire narrative was almost impossible to discern. I finished the book without knowing its purpose. Additionally, many characters flitted in and out of the narrative without proper definition.
Definitely not my cup of tea.
