This was a great start to Connor and Sophie’s love affair. Best friends in college but ripped apart due to her being selected for stardom Connor was never able to tell Sophie how he truly felt. The story picks up with Sophie restarting her life and fate giving him the chance to fix the unrequited love he has always had for her. 

These two characters are equally kinky and sweet making for some sexy as hell scenes, Sophie may remember Connor as being a bit shy but he’s all grown up now. He is so possessive and I loved it. I was a puddle for him. There is just the right amount of flirtation game from the beginning as they toy with each other, seeing who will fold first. Once they give in though there’s no denying that their chemistry was meant to be way more than just friends. 

Ivy has a bit of a different way of story telling and I grew to like it more and more as I read. Chasing the Idol is deliciously dirty and addictive, leaving you wondering if Ivy and Connor’s new found passion will sustain them through the fight for love or will it fizzle out as quickly as it started.

Chasing the Idol is Book One in Ivy Wild’s Infamous Trilogy Series. 

It a second chance romance and it follows friend zoned Connor Driscoll and fallen pop star Sophia Stronglen. This book grabbed me right at the beginning and I couldn’t put it down! I loved that it switched from different POV’s throughout the book, but it was in a way that was easy to follow and even see what was going through secondary characters minds in those moments. 

Connor, burned by Sophie’s rejection in the past and her leaving him left a hole in his heart. Has she not left to make something of herself he wouldn’t be a CEO and successful businessman, however, it left him not trusting Sophie when she came back. They practically jump into one another and leaves Sophie trying to start back over after a scandal has ripped her career apart. It’s a chance encounter, and I’m patiently waiting to start book two to see what happens next! 

SPOILER. This does not address why Sophie was running in the first place so I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what specifically led her to come back home.

Overall, this is a great story and I can’t wait to see what happens with Connor and Sophie! I’m rooting for their HEA!
