The plot was so intriguing and cool. Now... the narration, characters, etc not so much. I felt like I was reading a 2010's wattpad fantasy, why choose, im really not like other girls trope; which isn't a bad thing necessarily. Will I be reading the rest of the series? Absolutely.

I do not know what it is about the worlds J Bree builds, but they’re weird and I’m all in. I love the cast of makes for her why choose because there’s so many differences in their characters that there’s truly someone for everyone to root for. I immediately jumped into the second one.

I’m surprised I kinda liked it, because I never thought I will like RH, but here we are. I really enjoyd reading it. It was my first time with reverse harem, because I never could believe how can you make more that one man obsessed with you, but I guess in books it works. 

I'd say it's a great series to start your RH journey because the relationship with each of the men develops throughout the series. The first book is just the beginning as there isn't much action between Oli and her bonds.

Each of her bonds is different, so it’s not totally boring, when she is interacting with them. I don’t know which of them I will love more, but for now my heart belongs to Atlas and Gryphon. They are the sweetest and most caring to her. North may become my favorite if he changes his behavior, but we'll see.

Now to our main character, Oleander. I love reading books where the heroine is the villain in the story, and has a strong character. Oli has the potential to be one, if she stops acting like a teenager sometimes. 

The writing is not the best, but the story is pretty addicting. The last 20% of the book were the best. In overall, I’m pretty exited to continue the series.

The way I didn’t even know how much I was going to love this!

I borrowed the audio book on Hoopla on a whim and by gosh I couldn’t turn it off.

Oli immediately had me hooked, her secrets, her fierceness, her attitude and her dedication.

I am absorbed by these men and the bonds they share and I need to know it all. 

Starting a fantasy series usually sucks for me, but I had zero trouble with the world building here.

The attachments from their bonds without the romance is an interesting way to begin their story, and the building up to see if they’re ever going to get along??

I also usually despise reverse harem books but I am loving this group! 

Beyond excited for the next book!!

Let me put it this way, I read a dark smutty romance before this and I got more excited from the characters cuddling then the previous ones boning. And they did it a lot. 

The words “freaking” and “bond” are said many times. 

I will now be removing it from my daily vocabulary

Fast read for the first book in the series. It's an interesting concept but not a lot of the actual plot line progresses. There are also times where the description of things happening is in past tense which was odd for continuity. Good read and I enjoyed it though.

Surprisingly addictive. I am hooked. My friend and I are reading these together and I mentioned that reading this felt like a detailed text conversation between friends. The writing is very colloquial and digestible and the plotline is incredibly original.

Where do I even begin. There was so much packed into this one book, that I couldn’t put it down. Oleander’s (Oli) use of F**k made her all the more relatable to me, as to be honest, it’s my favorite word. 

When J. Bree announced the release date of Unbroken Bonds (October 28, 2022 by the way) I knew I had get started on this series. It has been on my TBR list for awhile now and I was beyond excited when I found out it was also an audiobook. 

The first book of this series was amazing. Oli was on the run but the truth behind why was still her secret to keep. After she was captured, she comes face to face with 4 of her bonds, North, Nox, Gabe, and Gryphon. She was enrolled in university where she meets Sage, who quickly became her best friend. 

Through out the story there was a lot of animosity towards Oli from her 4 bonds. They are angry that she ran and knew nothing about her gifts. When bond number 5, Atlas, contacted her, she was met with a different reaction. He was kind and knew she she must have had a reason for running. 

I was drawn to all of the characters and wanted to know everything about their gifts. 
Nox is the one I was drawn to the most, there is something about him that just captures my attention and I can’t wait to learn more about this character!

High 3.5 at best. This book is so cringey, but I can’t stop? It’s addicting. It’s a quick and easy read so I was able to fly through it. The plot is interesting, but the author really doesn’t give much background information. I’ll continue on because I NEED to know where this is going.

This book had me addicted from page two I swear

I wanted to rate this book higher but I just can’t. There are definitely things I liked about this book: the main character and her bonds are interesting enough to hook me, and some of the side characters are not completely one-dimensional. What there is of the plot I’m interested in, but that’s where it stops. I have no idea why people love this book so much. There is absolutely ZERO world building. The author leaves the reader completely in the dark about just about everything. What are Gifted? How do they exist in society? Do they hide or do they blend in? How do you find your Bonds? What’s the purpose of Bonds? Who are the Resistance? What are they fighting the Gifted for? What do they do to those who are captured? These are only a few of the BASIC questions I have that should have been answered in the first book. I’m hoping subsequent books flesh this out but 🤷🏻‍♀️. Also there are just so many grammatical errors. Sentences that are way too long or structured incorrectly, incorrect use of punctuation, the word “freaking” used an insane amount of times, etc.
