From New York Times bestselling author J.C. Cervantes comes a sparkling, unforgettable YA romance, perfect for fans of You’ve Reached Sam. Best friends and soul mates since they were kids, Hart Augusto and Ruby Armenta were poised to take on senior year together when Hart tragically drowns in a boating accident. Absolutely shattered, Ruby struggles to move on from the person she knows was her forever love. Hart can’t let go of Ruby either…. Due to some divine intervention, he’s offered a second chance. Only it won’t be as simple as bringing him back to life—instead, Hart’s soul is transferred to the body of local bad boy. When Hart returns to town as Jameson, he realizes that winning Ruby back will be more challenging than he’d imagined. For one, he’s forbidden from telling Ruby the truth. And with each day he spends as Jameson, memories of his life as Hart begin to fade away. Though Ruby still mourns Hart, she can’t deny that something is drawing her to Jameson. As much as she doesn’t understand the sudden pull, it can’t be ignored. And why does he remind her so much of Hart? Desperate to see if the connection she feels is real, Ruby begins to open her heart to Jameson—but will their love be enough to bridge the distance between them?

this book is like a different font of You’ve Reached Sam. this one is much better. i know that i would cry and sob my eyes out over this book. but at the same time this book taught me a lot of things such as happiness, hope, grieving and emotions. hart and ruby. they both are soulmates. they’re incredible characters and i love them so much. they were destined to be together but they’re tragedy happened and hart is given another chance to live inside the body of a classmate who was in coma and also a bad boy in their school. so the conclusion of this story is can hart (who lives inside the body of bad boy , Jameson) can win ruby back????? i was hooked from the start till the end. the plot is so engaging and heart-wrenching. it’s not predictable actually and i love that. it’s just written in a way that can totally sucks you in and forgot the world. i understand what ruby has been feeling and it hurts to lose someone we love. thank god we got a dual POVs, so we can see from each characters povs how and what they’ve been through. the other characters in here also loveable. i just love it so much. there’s a fantasy element in here such as the mentions of angels and heaven something like that. which is for me very interesting. i recommend this book to everyone who loves you’ve reached sam and pls just read it. i gave this book solid 4 stars. if you read this, you will probably know why i gave it 4 stars….

4/5⭐️ Thank you so much to Penguin Teen for a free copy of this book! Overall, this was a beautiful story, and it’s definitely one that will stay with you. This book deals with love and grief in a very unique way, and explores what it really means to love someone. There were some slower parts that kept me from being super engaged, but other than that I enjoyed this! It is a sad read, but well done. Would definitely recommend if you liked books like You’ve Reached Sam! Thank you again Penguin Teen!

Hart and Ruby's relationship was well written and intriguing to follow. It really increased the suspense and made the book more exciting to read, adding to the supernatural side of the book. Ruby and Hart complement each other perfectly. While I did not like Hart as much as Ruby at the very beginning, I soon began to love both main characters.

The book was also fast paced, so when I was occasionally a little bit bored, it didn't last long and I was immediately drawn back into the story again.

The themes of loss and grief in the book were also handled well and the story was sometimes quite emotional. Although I don't like sad books usually, this book is definitely an exception, as I really enjoyed it. The book surpassed my expectations in terms of the plot and was more engaging and unpredictable than I had initially thought.
