It’s getting increasingly harder to write an opinion about this series without spoiling too much. The third volume of Swept Away also begins exactly where volume two ended, and once again Tara has to deal with a bombastic revelation. But dealing with it is not easy when you’re trapped in a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and in the company of the one person you’d most like to be far away from...

So the thing is, everything I had suspected on volume one turned out to be true and when Tara finds out, she feels betrayed by the man she loves and that she trusted completely. And if he hid something so important from her, how can she continue to trust him?

Eventually they are rescued and finally arrive on dry land in the company of another survivor. And while they are questioned by the police, who seeks to find out what happened on the boat, Tara refuses to have any kind of contact with Ethan other than the strictly necessary until he decides to ambush her and refuses to leave until she gives him the opportunity to tell his version of the events.

And the truth is he does have an explanation. And even though he recognizes that he could have done things differently, he’s heart was in the right place and his intentions were always to protect Tara. She eventually realizes that and their stay in Hawaii ends up being very romantic considering the circumstances...

Obviously this third volume also ends in a massive cliffhanger and, even though I was expecting something of the kind, it still surprised me. And it left me with new questions and an overwhelming curiosity to know the end of this story that has me neatly wrapped around it.
