Shattered With You was such a great story and it install pulled me into the story. I was easily swept away into this romance. J.Kenner has such a great talent in writing stories and I love her writing style that is so engaging. I found this story to be unique in that we have such a level of intensity to this story. We do experience some flashbacks in this one and I was really fascinated in how this author implemented it. I was so endeared by both of the characters. They are so strong willed and SO stubborn so it made for some fireworks. But we also see their vulnerabilities especially in how much they care for each other. I just wanted them to find their way together and overcome the hurdles that have kept them from finding their HEA. I was intrigued to see where J. Kenner would deliver this story and it was done it such a solid way. And while it didn't quite make it to a five star read, it was such a solid win for me.

I was gripped at first by the tension. A lot of action happens quickly in this story. Trigger Warnings: Human trafficking - Kidnapping - Murder I enjoyed the romance between Eliza and Quincy, and I thought it was appropriate for the first book in a series to introduce the other Stark security guys and their significant others since it gives you a taste of what's to come. Great touch! The conclusion seemed to move quickly, and I believe the recalls could possibly have been explained more thoroughly. But in general, I enjoyed the book.
