I was reading this book, which is about an older man who gets hit by a car while riding his bicycle & loses his leg, while I was recovering from my own pathetic bike-related injury. I only had an ankle sprain but felt like I was hit by a car while reading this book. He falls in love/lust with his Romanian caregiver and then the book takes a weird direction. I liked it regardless even though the weird change in storyline was so abrupt, bizarre and a bit unbelievable. Interesting but I don't want to be hit by a car.
