This is a book we put together because we had to lose weight for health reasons but we still wanted to enjoy what we were eating, drink alcohol and have a social life. We came up with over 80 really tasty lower calorie versions of comfort food recipes, using everyday ingredients for dinner, lunch, brunch, snacks and baking. We worked out how much we could eat over a week so we could lose weight, without starving or feeling like we were being deprived, other people tried what we were doing, they lost weight too and enjoyed the recipes, so we put the cookbook together.I have lost over 5kg in weight and Leo has lost over 30kg, without watching every last thing we put in our mouths. We had days when we definitely didn't eat or drink as we should, but the weight came off steadily nearly every week, without long periods of not losing weight and it has stayed off for over a year. The book has over 80 recipes, measures 25.5mm high and 20.5mm wide with a glossy soft cover and there is a small photo showing each recipe after it's been prepared. The way of eating is a mix and match of the recipes which gives you about the right amount of food to eat each day. There is a section explaining what to eat over a day, so you can chose what you want to eat from each section of the book, or for people who prefer it, there are six weeks of meal planners with what to have each day of the week. There is also a blank planner to plan your own week. The first person who bought our book said: "I think your book is wonderful, just so simple to follow and uses everyday pantry items, well done and congratulations on your book, I'm sure you will inspire many." Rather than a diet this is a cookbook full of lower calorie recipes that will help you change the way you eat while making sure you also really enjoy what you are eating.
