this was the raunchiest and dirtiest book i've ever read in my life, and we ain't kink-shaming anyone here but man that one specific scene with that specific kink had me like this

this was alright, a couple of really sad scenes since this does feature a H who's been living on the streets basically since he was a teenager. but i feel like the couple wasn't as developed as the one in the first book. it was interesting to see the H being brought to the bdsm scene and taught how to take on the role of a dom which is what the h wanted, but for me it didn't feel genuine? idk i guess i went into this thinking he was already gonna be one from the get go.

Dirty Bad Strangers

just like with the second book, i feel like the focus was on the erotica side of things and not nearly enough on the relationship between jason and gemma. i liked that jade west explores different kinks in every single book and that the couple in this one was between a football player and a plus-sized chatline operator, but i would have wanted more focus be put on the relationship.

this book was solely ruined by the heroine for me. i could not stand how hypocritical she was at the end, like this girl needed to sort out her priorities (view spoiler)[because getting almost raped doesn't even faze her but knowing she was removed from the directory list of her sex club by the hero when she up and left him to fuck some old crusty ass italian dude for three years makes her mad? nah, that shit will not fly with me. get your priorities checked honey cause you be making no sense whatsoever (hide spoiler)]. it's a shame because the whole concept of taking turns at being sub/dom between the two of them was actually really interesting to read, as well as the exploration of abuse in a BDSM relationship (obviously NOT between the H and h), but the heroine dampened all that i was enjoying with her hypocritical ass. that being said, i really want topaz's book now, hope jade west will write that one next.
