I'm new to the Dungeons & Dragons world, but I must say this prequel to the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie(which I've already watched before reading this book) is so fun, fast-paced, and enjoyable to read! I want to see a film adaptation of this so badly. 🥲

I adored every minute of this audiobook! Such a fun prequel novel, centered around various mysteries as the found-family comes together.

The voice acting by Fred Berman is fantastic — his voice for Holga in particular is so perfect 😆💕

I finished this before seeing the movie (tonight!) and really enjoyed it. And now I already love this thieving crew! Their interactions are so endearing, and I loved seeing glimpses into each character’s backstory and internal struggles. The end leaves us with a few story hints that will lead us to the movie plot, I presume.

This fun book exceeded my expectations in the best way — if you’re a fan of dnd that’s heavy on mini mysteries & character collaboration, you’ll love this.
