Speed read this for my literature class. I'm not used to this kind of writing style so I had difficulty processing the events. The narrative is very very rich... the kind that causes you to space out—only to realize an important event had just taken place 😂 I don't really have much to say about the story because I failed to connect with the characters. Nevertheless, yay for finishing another classic!

"James Fenimore Cooper's romantic adventure brings the wilds of the American frontier and the drama of the French-Indian War vividly to life. The most popular of Cooper's Leatherstocking Tales, The Last of the Mohicans portrays the inevitable conflict of opposed cultures and stands as a testament to the ways in which this struggle has been mythologized. Featuring the well-loved noble woodsman Natty Bumppo, or "Hawk-eye," Cooper's novel is a memorable depiction of courage and passion, and a precursor to the Western genre."--BOOK JACKET.

Uncas was the last warrior of the Mohican clan. He faced many problems. Eventually, he overcame all problems. Cooper is at his best in this illustrated classic. His style is fine. This novel is a "must-read" for all teenagers and young people. They would relish this piece of fiction. The original flavor of these classics has been carefully retained in these abridged versions. Must be read by the youth, housewives, student and executives.
