This immediately called out to me because of the cover art, but I did feel like the actual art in the issue left something to be desired. I liked the premise and concept of astronauts from a dying planet needing to jump realities in order to save their world, but I do feel like this excellent premise didn’t exactly take off and grab ahold of me in this first issue. While I do think what happened in this first instalment was interesting and it was only the very beginning of this story, I do feel like this first issue was very surface level and bare bones (especially the social commentary), though that could easily change as the story continues and we get more time with these characters and this world. I do hope they breathe more life into this story by fleshing out the characters and the world.
