I wouldn’t normally pick Thai type of book, but my sister gave me it and I thought I’d give it a try. The book started off great and was so dramatic, I was hooked and read so much so quickly!! However from the middle to the end of the book I was getting more disappointed as there were less chapters to read and nothing was progressing plot wise. And the plot twist at the end wasn’t really a ‘plot twist’ as I called it out early out and it seemed too obvious all the way through. It is easy to follow and as dark as the theme of the book looks, it’s not too much of a dark read. The title is also a bit misleading as no midwives are actually murdered. Some of it was a bit triggering and there was an incident that gave me a nightmare! I would read again, but it would probably be as a ‘holiday’ type book where I could easily pick up, put down and come back to at a later time.

As I got closer and closer to the end of the book i was getting more disappointed as I realised there can’t be much of a plot twist remaining. I’d read the whole book hoping for an amazing plot twist, hence why I was getting disappointed. I’m so glad I finished it all went down in the last 3 or four chapters. That was the real plot twist. This book is easy to follow and full of twists in the story. In terms of thrill, there has been better but it’s very well thought through, I would read again.
