The majority of this book was a court case. Which I greatly dislike in this series and it was super boring. 

The secondary killer was completely unbelievable with how he was able to kill people. I just couldn't get over that to actually see him as a threat. (view spoiler)[I mean who lets someone with two kills under their belt, including their baby sister, have free reign of the city whenever they want? And keep the keys in their locker where anyone can get to them? I think not. (hide spoiler)]

The characters in these books are good, I just wish they were given better storylines. It's the same blah blah blah thing over and over again. 

Honestly, I'd had SUCH high hopes after the last book, it was so darn good and then this one just fell so flat, soooooo flat

And did I miss what happened with the woman from the building that Joe was helping? They mentioned her a couple of times after that but I have no idea what happened with all of that.

Meh. Overall, if James Patterson was writing these, they may actually be good, and they may not be. The story lines and plots could use some definite work, but they have some pretty strong characters to work with. I do still enjoy the view inside the killers brains but in this one they gave too many answers too fast and it just didn't feel like there was much of a mystery. It wasn't hard to figure out who had done what and why/how.

16th Seduction by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro (Women's Murder Club 16) starts with Joe and Lindsay going for dinner.  After the eruptions of the last book, when it came out that Joe had been working for the CIA secretly, and that the seductress of the last book had been one of his colleagues, Lindsay realised that she didn't know who she was married to.  At the end of the last book, Joe had moved out, and Lindsay was trying to work out what she wanted.

Joe wants to win Lindsay back, which is why they've gone to dinner.  It's not the relaxing meal he had planned as a local museum is blown up, and so they rush out to help.  Joe ends up hurt, and Lindsay ends up with the bomber in handcuffs.

We see the trial for the bombing, but also there's been a spate of mysterious heart attacks happening in the city.  Another thing for Lindsay and the other members of the Women's Murder Club to investigate!

The Women's Murder Club is one of my favorite series that I've been reading for over ten years. I've skipped a couple in the last few years, so that caused some shocking revelations for me while I was reading this.

It wasn't the best one I've read, but I still loved it. I loved seeing the legal proceedings, and watching the story unfold. The most interesting part was that this was basically two mysteries in one. I'm not sure that the second mystery was needed. The book could've filled all 350ish pages without adding a second mystery element. However, I enjoyed both and thought it was realistic to show that it's not always one case at a time type of situation.

Overall, these books are quick reads for me and I always love visiting with the characters. It's full of bad ass and strong women with mystery and murder. What more can you ask for?!
