I hate to give this review, but I was not a fan. This serious do far has gone on a roller coaster of good and great, but this was not it. The storyline was not well developed, and ending was weird, rushed, and all wrong. I continued reading because I wanted to keep reading series and didn't want to miss something if the next in the series talked about something. I had to push through it, honestly. One decent twist towards the end, but still. I have so much hope in The 6th Victim.

A young mother is recuperating in a top San Francisco hospital when suddenly she's gasping for breath. The call button fails to bring help in time. How and why did this happen? With help from the newest member of the Women's Murder Club, Yuki Castellano, Lieutenant Lindsay Boxer discovers that this is not the hospital's first suspicious case. Other patients have taken unexpected and devastating turns for the worse just as they're planning to go home. Are these just appalling coincidences? Or is a maniac playing God with people's lives? When someone close begins to exhibit the same terrifying symptoms, Lindsay fears no one is safe. In a wild race against time she must fight an administration determined to shield its reputation even if it means hiding a killer...

Yet another great installment of the series! This one was quite a rollercoaster, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Another fast paced read for sure!! If you haven't checked out the Women's Murder Club yet, please consider it, I don't think you'd be disappointed! Highly recommend this series!

I'm not going to lie, it took me FOREVER to get into this book. I think I started reading it in September, made it to about page 20 and didn't pick it up again until this weekend. I read the rest of it in two days though. I guess I should have just read a few more pages and I'd have been hooked! 

The 5th Horseman follows in the footsteps of the 4th of July, as being one that I actually liked! You know I can't help but feel like if the TV show had been more like these books, it would have stayed around longer! Though I do enjoy my Rizzoli and Isles (tv show that is, haven't made it to Tess's novels yet), I would have liked to continue to see Lindsay Boxer on my tv screen!

I don't have to tell you that it's well written... it's James Patterson, of course it is! And still, I love the little views you get into the mind of the killers. I know that's kind of weird but I guess if you think about it, that's why the Dexter novels (and show) are so popular. You get to see a side of something that you wouldn't normally see. I'm not sure exactly where Patterson takes his brain in order to come up with that glimpse, but I really like it.

This one had a really good story line in it as well, I liked the way that the two crimes jumped back and forth and kept you guessing about what was going to happen. As always... I had the wrong killer the whole time! It's funny how you think it's one person, you're SURE it is, and then BAM! It's not. It's such a cool thing. I'm glad I picked up this series even though crime novels haven't ever really been my thing.

Detective Lindsay Boxer and her friend Yuki Castellano are out shopping with Yuki's mother Keiko when Keiko drops in the middle of the busy street.
