Florian and Margaret have been asked by the FBI to go undercover in a prestigious prep school to find out who is performing pranks on students and staff. The reason that pranks warrant the attention of the FBI is that the President's daughter, Lucy, is a student at the school and she has been affected. Once they are there, Florian and Margaret find lots of clues that lead to several suspects, including Lucy, but it isn't long before it becomes clear that pranks are just the tip of the iceberg of the problems in this school. Vanished! is the second in the Framed! or TOAST mystery series. As in Framed!, the clues are engaging and fun, keeping the interest level high. The characters are well developed and their motives are easy to understand. Although, not quite as fast paced as Framed!, Vanished! is still a quick read filled with action and adventure. Overall, Vanished! is a good addition to the series.
