This was a resounding "meh" for me. It was right up my alley but it never really grabbed me. There were some good twists and the full production was usually pretty good but, for some reason, I would have been fine turning it off and never thinking of it again. 

I can't think of much else to say about it. If you get it for free and have a few hours to burn, give it a try but I wouldn't seek it out.

The last half of the book was pretty good. However it took forever to get anywhere in the beginning and I almost stopped listening.

The actual mystery part of this book was pretty interesting, but a lot of the rest was boring fluff involving the main character's personal life, which I DID NOT care about. Add in some really gross and harmful stereotyping about people with psychopathy--as in, every conversation about them was how they need some sort of medical and/or therapeutic intervention to have even a semblance of a normal life. I feel like the author did juuust enough skimming of the DSM-V to know what that condition is, but never once tried to speak with someone who has it or even attempt to understand their thought processes. Yet another mystery/thriller that automatically villainizes anyone who isn't neurotypical :/
