These books are all so good! I love reading about missionaries and their ministries. These books all tend to be very straight-forward and descriptive. It's unlikely you'll read a whole lot about the internal struggles that a person was mentally dealing with. But you will get great information about the who, what, when, and where questions. That isn't to say they never answer the WHY questions, but in general these books are not as deep in that area. I think they are directed at middle school or young adult readers, so it makes perfect sense.

Great series to listen to as a family. We will sometimes redeem car time by listening to audiobooks together. The whole family enjoyed this missionary biography, and the kids were asking to put it on when we were driving. My kids are 7 & 5, and they both liked the book.
