This story is not like every other forbidden office romance stories and Charlotte (also known as Lottie) is not Marcus's secretary! 
The starting half of the story was a bit of a chaos with the story being told from different people's view point, but eventually it was easy to read. I really liked Charlotte's personality. She's the epitome of 'beauty with brains' along with being a strong, independent woman. Marcus is the alpha male- sexy, confident and cocky.

The story shows Lottie's growth and determination to make a name for herself despite her past and present situations. 

I would definitely recommend this book!
The story does not totally revolve around the lead's love life and hence gives us more of a story and shows us the insides of a business.
 PS: I was really hoping for Zac and Lottie.

A Class Act, by January James is a “forbidden” office romance that threw me for a loop. It was a slow burn at first, and had me hooked from the get go.

Her writing style is different, so it took me a bit to adjust to the POV from character to character switching around more frequently than a chapter at a time. I liked that it was also not specifically centered around the main characters. The overall development in the minor characters gave me more insight on their thoughts and feelings as the book went on! 

Lottie had a lot of growing to do throughout the book. She started over and basically recreated herself. She is an incredibly talented and intelligent woman, but let her past define who she was. I like that she wasn’t afraid to go for what she wanted professionally as well as personally (Marcus). Marcus bummed me out so much!!! Half the time I was screaming at my screen for him to get his act together because Zac was such a sweetheart and truly loved and cared about Lottie. Is it bad I was #teamzac?! 

Overall this is a great read, and an awesome start to the book world January James! I can’t wait to see more! Thanks for the chance to read and review!
